Prayer Ministries at EFCCL: We are committed to being a praying people.

The ministries and activities of our church are characterized by a reliance upon God in their conception, planning, and execution.

Whether you’re new to the EFCCL family or have been around for years, we invite you to take advantage of the many opportunities we have to pray for one another and for our community—locally and around the world.

Why We Pray:

Communion: Prayer is the essential communion between a child of God and his or her heavenly Father.

Community: We pray, not only as individuals, but as part of a community of faith. We must pray for one another. Our relationships with one another affect our prayer relationship with our Father.

Submission: As we pray, we submit ourselves to God's will. We only receive that which is requested in keeping with our Father's perfect will.

Relationship: We can pray to God our Father because we have a great high priest in heaven, Jesus Christ, who makes our relationship possible through salvation—the salvation we find in Him alone.

Prayer Opportunties:

Have a Prayer Need?

Know that there are people in your EFCCL church family who want to lift you up in prayer! You can share a prayer need or a praise by: filling out the form below, speaking with a Prayer Partner after each service in the Worship Center, praying individually or with a group in the Prayer Room (by the elevator) if you’d like a quiet place to pray on Sundays or during the week.

Prayer Room

The Prayer Room is available during our regular office hours Tuesday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, and evenings when the building is open for ministry use.

Why utilize the Prayer Room, you may ask?
• It offers a quiet place away from distraction of home and work.
• It’s a central place to tap into prayer resources, lists and guides.
• It helps to cement and foster growth in our prayer lives through commitment.
• It’s a place where people can meet to pray: mentor/mentee, prayer partners, families, affinity groups (such as persecuted church, pro-life, prodigal children, etc.).
• It communicates that our congregation is serious about prayer.
• It can become a unifying backbone for prayer within our church.

Contact the church office to sign up for a time to use the Prayer Room (815-459-1095).

Weekly and Monthly Prayer Teams

This team receives the weekly prayer list via email and commits to praying for those requests. To sign up, click the button below and request to join the team.

Shepherd's Staff Prayer Time

This group meets on Sundays 45 minutes before the first service in the Prayer Room (located next to the elevator). They pray specifically for our Sunday morning ministries and staff. All are welcome!

Service Intercession Time

This is designed for people to come and go on Sundays from 9:00 am - 12:00 noon. Held in the Prayer Room (next to the elevator) it will continue the Shepherd’s staff mission to pray for the services, staff revival and ministries of the church while it’s happening.
