Loss of a Spouse Seminar
Saturday, January 24 | 9-11 am | in Room 213
Losing a spouse is like losing a part of yourself.
Your husband or wife was your partner. Your confidante. Your best friend. The person you turned to in good times and bad. You faced the world side by side, and now your spouse is gone. You wonder how it’s possible to go on. Losing a spouse means losing a huge part of your identity: Instead of being part of a couple, you’re now single, and this changes how you relate in the world. As painful as this is, it’s important to think through who you are without your spouse.
If you’re grieving the death of a spouse, this seminar can help. It’s free and open to anyone who is grieving the loss of a spouse.
Thursday Evenings | beginning January 29
(6:30-8:30 pm, in Room 213)
A GriefShare support group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through this 13-week group (beginning Jan. 29), you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief.
Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid, biblical support each step of the way. No childcare is available for these meetings. Light refreshments will be served.
GriefShare is open to anyone in our church and community. Cost is $10 for materials.
