CELEBRATE RECOVERY:
A Christ-centered recovery program based on the Beatitudes of Jesus Christ.

WE ARE…

A SAFE PLACE TO SHARE, A REFUGE, A PLACE OF BELONGING.

WE ARE…

A PLACE WHERE RESPECT AND CONFIDENTIALITY IS GIVEN TO EACH MEMBER, IN FACT, IT’S REQUIRED.

WE ARE…

A PLACE FOR HEALTHY CHALLENGES, HEALTHY RISKS, AND A POSSIBLE TURNING POINT IN YOUR LIFE.

At Celebrate Recovery, you can learn, grow, and become strong again, becoming comfortable enough to remove your masks.

FRIDAY NIGHTS @ 7 PM //

Join Us Every Friday Night
at 7:00 pm in Room 214

Please follow the CR signs to the back of the church and enter through Door 4. Room 214 is up stairs and to your left.

Celebrate Recovery carries a message of hope and freedom from hurts, hang-ups and habits—this freedom can only come from a relationship with Christ. There is no cost to attend, and visitors are always welcome.

• 7 pm | Large group:
This is a time for worshiping together and hearing encouraging words from others.
8 pm | Small groups:
Following large group, these small groups offer a confidential place for healthy discussions. There are also groups for both men and women (see below).
9 pm | Crosstalk Café:
Stick around for a time of fellowship after our meetings are over.

Small Groups

There are open-share small groups for men and women. Keeping men with men and women with women allows for more candid sharing, and prayerfully, better help and outcomes.

These groups will often discuss topics including: addictions, codependency, eating disorders, adult children of family dysfunction, depression and anxiety, and abuse (physical, sexual, and emotional) anger, and sexual addiction.

Step Studies

A Step Study is a personal journey through each of the 12 steps of CR in a confidential group led by a facilitator that has completed a study. We have groups for both men and women that meet at EFCCL during the week.

• Women’s Step Study: Mondays at 6:30 pm in the Library
• Men’s Step Study: Saturdays at 9:00 am in Room 215

WOMEN: call Josette (847-533-9231) with any questions.
MEN: call Dave (847-749-9659) with questions.

Recovery Principles:
The following recovery principles are based on the Beatitudes of Jesus Christ, as found in the Bible in the book of Matthew, chapter 5.

  1. Realize I'm not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing, and my life is unmanageable.

  2. Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to Him, and that He has the power to help me recover.

  3. Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ's care and control.

  4. Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust.

  5. Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.

  6. Evaluate my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others, when possible, except when to do so would harm others.

  7. Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer, in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

  8. Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by example and by my words.
