Mark your calendars for this year’s annual church picnic! We look forward to great food, volleyball and softball games, “human foosball,” ice cream eating and pie baking contests, and more on Sunday, August 9, following the 10:45 a.m. combined service. Sign up online for games, contests, and volunteer opportunities. Please bring a main dish to serve twelve, blankets, chairs, and bug spray! Families of three or more are asked to also bring a salad (last names A-N) or a dessert (O-Z).
We are once again collecting school supplies and backpacks for children in our church family and Lydia Home in Chicago, so they can begin the new school year with the tools they need. Click here for a list of needed items; donations can be dropped off at the church through August 9.
This week on the blog, Pastor Jay writes about his recent vacation with his wife, Becky. To read the full post, visit blog.efccl.org—and check back each week on Friday for another new post from Pastor Jay.
