What time are services?

NOTE: Combined services are held periodically throughout the year
(at 9:00 am or 10:45 am) to allow us to worship together as an entire church family. Sunday school classes for children, students, and adults will not meet, but childcare is provided through age 4 in Paradise Island (lower level of the building).

2019 COMMUNION DATES:
Where is the church located?
575 E. Crystal Lake Avenue
Crystal Lake, IL 60014
We are located on E. Crystal Lake Avenue between Main Street and
Pingree Road in Crystal Lake, next door to Hannah Beardsley Middle School.
The church offices, Worship Center, childcare, and adult Sunday school classes can be found in the main building. Middle school and high school students meet in the Student Center (smaller building at the back).
Where can I park?
We have two main parking lots: one at the front of the building and a smaller lot at the back. Reserved guest parking is available in the front lot closest to the building - it's reserved for you! We hope you enjoy the convenience.
We also offer free valet parking before and after each service; just pull up under the Canopy Entrance. We have several who use this service, so don't hesitate to give it a try, especially if you or a loved one need assistance getting in or out of our building and to your car.
Where do I go when I arrive?
Whether you're a first-time visitor or a returning guest, we'd love to meet you! Stop by the Information Center for directions, to ask questions (big or small) about our church, get plugged in to Sunday small groups, and find out more about the opportunities we have during the rest of the week.
The Information Center is located on the upper level of the building, just outside the Worship Center by the Tower Entrance.
Is there a dress code?
Nope! We want you to feel comfortable in whatever clothes you own, so we don't have a dress code. You will see some people in jeans and others in suits or dresses.
What can I expect during the service?
Our Sunday services start at 9:00 am and 10:45 am and are held in our Worship Center (upper level, near the Tower Entrance). The services are identical and both feature a great blend of prayer, music, and teaching. We teach directly from the Bible, as we believe it is the inspired Word of God.
We are led in worship each week by our choir and music teams in a "blended" style, meaning that we incorporate both contemporary worship anthems and traditional hymns.
Our sermons are taught from the New International Version (NIV) of the Bible. Feel free to borrow a Bible from the back of the Worship Center (on the shelves just outside the doors) to follow along during services.
What is available for children (infants through 5th grade)?
Childcare is available during both services for infants, toddlers, and pre-K children in Paradise Island, located on the lower level. We use a secure check-in system and will provide you with a pager, so we can get in touch with you wherever you are in the building.
We also offer Sunday school for children in grades K-3 during both services (called Route 66); head to the Activity Center on the lower level for check-in.
4th and 5th grade students meet for Popcorn 45 in Rooms 123-125 (lower level) during the 9:00 am service.
What is available for middle school and high school students on Sundays?
Our middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) students meet for Nexus Sunday school during the 9:00 am service at the Student Center, the smaller building near the back parking lot. Students are then encouraged to attend the second hour Worship Service with their family.
How do I get connected in your church?
First, every other month we host a Pizza with the Pastors, which is a great opportunity to meet with our pastors and ask questions or just get to know them. Their wives come, as well as our directors and their spouses. Lunch is free and includes delicious pizza, a salad and dessert. Gluten-free pizza is available.
Second, we offer a Membership Seminar for those seeking to join the church as well as for newcomers who want to understand what we believe, how we function and a bit of our past. Our senior pastor and adult ministries pastor both lead the 3 hour, Saturday morning class.
Need a caffeine boost?
Stop by the Lighthouse Café, just outside the Worship Center, any time on Sunday mornings for a free cup of coffee and to spend time with friends!
Have more questions?
Please ask! We want to make sure you have all the answers you need.
