CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES AT EFCCL

Our Children's Ministries seek to provide a loving, fun, and safe environment where children will develop physically, emotionally, and spiritually! Our ministries offer age-appropriate activities and relevant Bible teaching.

Guidelines for kids:
This summer, bring Jesus with you on your adventures—to the park, to the store, your camping trip, to the pool…everywhere! Where will your journeys take you? Where will Jesus go?

Sunday School

Paradise Island (Infants, Toddlers, and Preschool Children)

Sunday Mornings • 9:00 & 10:45 am

Paradise Island is a colorful and safe place for the youngest members of the church, those preschool age
and younger. Here, they get to play and make friends while they are introduced to the stories and love
of Jesus. Secure check-in starts at the front desk of Paradise Island, located on the lower level (north end
of the building). We ask parents to list their cell phone number or a pager number (pagers are provided)
-during check-in, so we can be in touch if needed.

Route 66 (Grades K-3)

Sunday Mornings • 9:00 & 10:45 am

Route 66 helps students in grades K-5 grow in their understanding of Jesus through the teaching of God's Word, music, and small group discussion. We are currently observing summer hours with only one class at 9:00 am. Our teaching schedule is posted to the right so you can see what your child will be learning each week.

Popcorn 45 (Grades 4-5)

Sunday Mornings • 9:00 am

Why “Popcorn 45”?
Popcorn 45 is the Sunday school class for 4th & 5th graders at EFCCL.  As Christ followers, we should allow the truths we have learned as children to change our lives.  Fourth and fifth grades can be a time to transition from concrete knowledge to applying God’s truth to their worlds.  It is a phase in life to develop some initial independence. So where does popcorn fit in?  Think about how popcorn starts:  a single kernel of corn, that once it is exposed to extreme heat, bursts inside out, never to return to the shape or color of corn again.  We want our students to be completely changed by the gospel, never turning back again.

What is taught?
Popcorn 45 content is repeated every 2 years. Using the Deeply Rooted Curriculum, students study topics relevant to them and learn Bible navigation skills, note taking skills, and study skills as they wrestle with practical theology.

Awana

During the school year, Awana provides children in our community with a casual and safe
