Living Proof Live: Beth Moore Simulcast

Beth Moore's Living Proof Live conference is just around the corner, but we're still accepting registrations for our simulcast event! Join us August 28 and 29!

Friday, August 28:
Registration • 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
Dinner • 6 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Conference • 7 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 29:
Registration • 7:30 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.
Conference • 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Coffee Break • 10:30 a.m.

Registration • Tickets cost $25 for the weekend. We are no longer mailing out tickets, but we are accepting payment all the way through Friday and Saturday! (Note: we cannot accept credit cards, so please bring cash or checks.) We'd appreciate if you called or emailed with your name and phone number, just so we have an idea of how many people to expect. Contact Rachel Sankey at 815.459.1095 or rsankey[at]efccl.org.

Dining • An optional dinner will be available on Friday evening, since many of our women are coming directly from work or other responsibilities. The cost for this dinner will be $6. This is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, as we are anticipating late registrations and will not be able to accommodate everyone. Concessions will also be available for purchase on Friday night and Saturday morning. (Note: we cannot accept credit cards, so please bring cash or checks.) Coffee, bagels, and donuts will be provided free of charge during the scheduled break on Saturday morning.

Childcare • We will not be providing childcare for this event.

Topic / Featured Guests • Beth Moore, the featured speaker of the conference, will be speaking on "Coming Home to the Heart of Your Desires" from Psalm 37. Travis Cottrell and his band will lead us in songs of worship. (Although our event will be a simulcast of the live conference, we will be joining with the women in Green Bay and women from hundreds of other simulcast host churches in fellowship and praise.)

Welcome!

Saturday, August 1, 2009

Thank you for stopping by the blog of EFCCL Women's Ministries! We have so many things to share with the women in our church family and in our community, and we are excited to have the opportunity to do that here at our new online home.

Please, take a tour of the site! At the top of the page, you will notice seven links which will help guide you around the various sections of our blog.

  1. Home: The home page will feature entries, like this one, which will help direct you around the site and point out any new features you might otherwise miss. We know that not everyone is familiar with blogging, so we want to make this experience as easy and comfortable for you as possible.

  2. About: This page is intended to provide a brief overview of all the ministry opportunities we offer. Updates about these programs and events will be posted on the News page throughout the year.

  3. News: Here, we will communicate upcoming events, ministry updates, and any other relevant news. (Upcoming events are also featured to the right side of each page. Clicking the image for an upcoming event will take you directly to the related article to give you the detailed information you need.)

  4. Calendar: Take a quick peek at what is coming up this month on our calendar page! You can get a detailed view of an event by clicking on its name, or you can use the buttons at the top to scroll between weeks or months. If you're a Google Calendar user, you can even add our calendar to your account, so you'll never miss out on the fun!

  5. Resources: If you are looking for godly resources for women — music, books, movies, websites, etc. — consider this your one-stop shop. The resources featured here have all been recommended by sisters in Christ; please join the community and give us your feedback and your suggestions.

  6. Stories: This section of the site is still under construction, and we could use your help in getting it underway. If you have an encouraging anecdote from your day-to-day walk with the Lord to share, please let us know. We would also love your personal testimonies, your insight on a passage of Scripture you've been studying, or any morsel of wisdom you have found to be helpful.

  7. Contact: Here, you will find the email address to which you can submit resources, stories, prayer requests, or anything else you would like to communicate to us.

The beauty of a blog is that it is a community tool that is constantly growing. We can all be involved in building each other up and encouraging one another in the Lord. This can be a tremendous resource and tool for our ministry, so please take a minute to get acquainted with the site. If you have the time, comment on an entry or write us an email with your thoughts. We'd love to hear from you!
