Missions Focus Clyde and Becky Porter Clyde and Becky Porter are serving with ReachGlobal, the international mission of the Evangelical Free Church of America. In a recent newsletter they told us the following: The bright spot in our ministry is Corazones Abiertos de Mexico (CAM Open Hearts of Mexico). We have three groups up and running right now. Two are in the north, and one is in the southern part of the city. We are both co-leading with another person in two of the groups. There are four different churches represented in the southern group and that excites us in offering this ministry to many churches. There have been fifteen people trained in leading the grace groups in three years, and of those, there are probably ten we would consider ready to co-lead a group. Next fall we hope to have at least 4 or 5 groups with some of these people co-leading. We will be on home assignment starting November, so it will be all Mexicans leading. We would also like to have a few English groups for a local church with both English and Spanish congregations. This will be a great way for our newest missionaries, the Hannants, to get their feet wet by co-leading a group; it also provides great opportunities to network, offering healing and health to many churches. Please Pray: · For the development of the CAM team. · For Annette, a highly gifted and experienced woman who we would like to see on the team of CAM. · For the development of the new groups in English and Spanish. · That we would know what to study and how to specifically impact our neighbors. |
