Caring Ministries seeks to address everyday needs and to help people work through the hurts and pains of life. Our purpose is to provide biblically-based approaches that allow you to more fully experience the love, power, and healing of God in your lives and relationships.
We offer counseling, support groups, recovery groups, and more.
If you are in a season of life where you need some encouragement or someone to talk to, EFCCL has trained "Encouragers" in place to meet with you. Click here to learn more
Celebrate Recovery is a twelve-step, Christ-centered recovery program that meets weekly on Friday evenings. Stop by for a visit (the large group meeting starts at 7:00 pm) or view the full schedule and more information about Celebrate Recovery.
Benevolent (Financial) Assistance
Everyone encounters financial problems from time to time and for various reasons. We seek to address those needs in a redemptive, personal, effective, and efficient way that honors God. Our goal as we evaluate incoming requests is to remain good stewards of His monies.
All persons seeking help must complete an application for each request and then meet with one of our teams. To apply, visit the church office between Tuesday and Friday, 9:30 am to 4 pm. We strongly recommend that interested parties call (815-459-1095) before visiting to confirm that we still have appointments available.
Freedom Prayer Warriors
Our Freedom Prayer Warriors meet monthly for a time of education about and prayer against human trafficking. Join us the third Sunday of the month from 1:30 to 3:00 pm at the home of Maryanne Shanholtz.
Hope Visitation is a volunteer-based ministry, reaching out to the seniors in our church family, particularly those who are lonely and in need of our encouragement and hope. We see an opportunity to express the love and hope that is in Jesus Christ through the following areas:
- Home visitation
- Nursing home visitation
- Hospital visitation
If you are interested in serving or know of someone who might benefit from this ministry, please contact Mary Handal.
